The story of Miller Auto Care as it exists today starts with Ron Shubin. Shubin began his auto repair career at Skinner Buick, Pontiac, Cadillac, later known as Skinner Autoplex, here in Medford when he was just 18 years old. He was quickly promoted to line tech, a position he held for over 20 years. During that time, Shubin maintained the highest level accreditation as a Cadillac Master Craftsman and Buick Service Master and even competed in the Buick National Troubleshoot in Seattle, WA.
In 2001, Shubin became the Parts and Service Director at Skinner Autoplex. After 11 years, in 2012, he seized the opportunity to branch out and open his own shop. In June 2012, Shubin and three employees opened Southern Oregon Auto Care. That shop grew on word-of-mouth referrals and became a rousing success. In late 2020, opportunity knocked again when Gary Miller decided to retire. A deal was made and Shubin purchased Miller Auto Care, his second auto repair business. And the rest is history.
Ron Shubin believes in transparency when it comes to auto repair. He’s installed windows into both his shops so customers can watch their cars being serviced or repaired. “When we tell you that something on your vehicle needs attention, we are more than happy to take you out into the shop to show what we see and why it needs to be replaced or repaired,” he says. “Customer satisfaction is very important and a lot of times that is just a matter of showing and/or explaining things so the customer understands what’s needed.”
Shubin and the experienced techs at Miller Auto Care won’t suggest repairs based on the year or mileage of your car, and they certainly won’t suggest repairs or services that aren’t necessary.
“If your transmission fluid is clean, then there is no reason to change it. We like to say, ’We don’t do wallet flushes here’,” Shubin says.
Transparency and trust are the name of the game at Miller Auto Care. When you need auto repairs or services in Medford, OR, you know you can trust Ron Shubin and his team of experienced professional technicians at Miller Auto Care.
